Arthur Henry Messiter

English-American organist and composer who served as organist at Trinity Church, New York and composed numerous hymn tunes widely used in American Episcopal hymnals. He was influential in establishing high standards for congregational music in the Protestant Episcopal Church during the late 19th century.
