Arthur Seymour Sullivan

English composer best known for his collaborations with librettist W.S. Gilbert on operettas, but also a significant contributor to Victorian church music and hymn composition. Sullivan composed hymn tunes of considerable melodic quality that appear in numerous Anglican and Methodist hymnals, including settings for well-known texts.
