Aurelius Clemens Prudentius

Spanish-Roman Christian poet of the late 4th and early 5th centuries whose Latin hymns are among the earliest surviving examples of Christian hymnody. His works, including hymns for various liturgical occasions and celebrations of Christian martyrs, profoundly influenced the development of Latin hymn traditions in the Western Church.
