Cyril Vincent Taylor

British organist and composer who created numerous hymn tunes and service music for the Church of England. He was particularly influential in twentieth-century Anglican hymnody, composing memorable melodies such as 'Cyril' and 'King's Weston' that appear in major English hymnals. His work reflected a pastoral sensitivity and strong liturgical understanding.
