Henry Van Dyke

Henry Van Dyke was an American Presbyterian minister, professor, diplomat, and prolific author who wrote numerous hymn texts and devotional works. He is best known for the hymn 'Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee,' set to Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy,' and for his significant contributions to American religious literature.
