Johann Gottlieb Naumann

German composer and Kapellmeister who created sacred music and hymn tunes during the late 18th century. His compositions were widely used in Lutheran and reformed Protestant churches across Germany and Scandinavia. Naumann's melodic style bridged Baroque and Classical traditions in church music.
