John Baptiste Dykes

Prominent English organist and one of the most prolific and influential hymn tune composers of the 19th century. He created over 300 hymn melodies including the famous tune 'Nicaea' and 'St. Cuthbert,' which appear in virtually every English-language hymnal. His harmonically sophisticated compositions significantly shaped Victorian and modern church music.
