Joseph Funk

German-American Mennonite musician and compiler best known for compiling and publishing the *Harmonia Sacra* (1832), which preserved shape-note musical notation traditions in America. His collections were foundational to American sacred music education and the continued vitality of congregational singing in Mennonite and other evangelical communities.
