Julia H. Johnston

American evangelical hymn lyricist who wrote more than 1,400 hymns, primarily for Sunday school, evangelistic, and devotional use. Johnston was a prolific contributor to American evangelical hymnody and authored texts for children and adults emphasizing faith, hope, and Christian commitment. Her works were widely published in 19th and early 20th-century American hymnals and shaped evangelical worship traditions.
