Swedish hymnist and lyricist who wrote over 600 hymn texts, many of which have been translated into English and adopted by multiple denominations including Methodist and Baptist churches. Her tender, personally devotional lyrics made her one of the most prolific and beloved hymn writers of the 19th century.
