Louis Bourgeois

French-Swiss music reformer and composer who served as Calvin's musical advisor in Geneva and composed and arranged melodies for the Genevan Psalter. His harmonized psalm tunes became foundational to Reformed Protestant hymnody and influenced English and Scottish psalm singing traditions.
