Rowland Hugh Prichard

Welsh composer and precentor renowned for the hymn tune "Hyfrydol" (1844), composed when he was a teenager and widely adopted in Welsh and English hymnody. Prichard's melodic gift produced several other substantial hymn tunes used internationally.
