Joseph Barnby

English organist and composer who served as director of the Oratorio Concerts in London and composed numerous hymn tunes and sacred works. He was knighted for his contributions to English church music and is remembered for composing the hymn tune "Laudes Domini" and various other liturgical compositions. His works bridged Victorian church music traditions with more modern compositional approaches.
